10/1/10,
Race #1 scheduled for Rapid will be postponed. The first race of the series will now be at Hudson Valley Raceway on Nov. 13th.
Previous years updates,
1/24/10,
Race #6 venue has changed, and now will be held at orange county raceway. Orange County has a fun, and fast kingleman, and a challenging quad-oval. Race #4 was great and #6 should be just as fun.
1/22/10,
Starting with Race #5 at Hudson Valley Raceway additional LMP practice will be made available after Nascar pre-race tech. This practice will be made available to racers who are only participating in the LMP class. This practice will be available during the Nascar race and at no time will anyone participating in the Nascar race be permitted on the track being used for this additional LMP practice. After Nascar post-race tech has been completed we will have the regular 15-minute LMP practice available to all competitors.
12/08/09,
This bulletin pertains to the LMP class.
It has come to my attention that there are bodies on the market that have been copied from the original manufacturers’ designs. These are also known as ‘back pours’. Some of these copies have been modified to produce more down force. These will not be legal. Only Parma, JK, and Red Fox bodies listed on page 6 in the rules are legal. Complete rules may be viewed at www.TheShootOutSeries.com.
An example of an illegal back pour would be Outisight’s copies of Red Fox designed bodies which have been modified in the area of the rear wing side panels making them larger.
One way to be sure a body is legal is to look at the rear of the body before you mount it and check for correct manufacturer’s name.

Rules Clarification
To insure a level playing field all cars must meet all general technical rules as well as all technical rules specific to each class, Nascar/LMP, at all times during competition. The only exceptions being specifications directly affected by tire wear, that is chassis clearance and roof height for Nascar and chassis clearance for LMP. It is the driver’s responsibility to maintain the legality of their car throughout the competition.
